Industrial metals seeing a bounce, led by copper stocks after President Trump signs executive order to direct Commerce Dept to examine possible copper tariffs. In Asian markets, The Nikkei Index fell -95 points to 38,142, the Shanghai Index gained 34 points to 3,380, and the Hang Seng Index surged 753 points to 23,787. In Europe, the Stoxx 600 rises 0.8% to a record high, boosted by solid corporate earnings and optimism around a potential peace deal in Ukraine. The German <span class='nt-symbol'>DAX<\/span> is jumped 316 points to 22,726, while the FTSE 100 rises 50 points to 8,719.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"body-copy\"><span style=\"color:black\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"body-copy\"><span style=\"color:black\">The Nasdaq Composite and <span class='nt-symbol'>S<\/span>&#038;P 500 both closed lower on Tuesday for the 4<sup>th<\/sup> straight trading day, their longest string of loses since the last three sessions of 2024 and the first session of 2025. The S&#038;P hit its lowest level since Jan. 15, while the Nasdaq touched its lowest level since Jan 13 fueled by a weaker-than-expected consumer confidence print that stirred fears of an economic downturn, adding to the jitters from last week on weaker Michigan confidence data\/rising inflation expectations and softer guidance from retail giant Wal-Mart. The biggest drags on the market on Tuesday were mega cap stocks as <span class='nt-symbol'>NVDA<\/span> shares fell -2.8% and <span class='nt-symbol'>TSLA<\/span> -8% on European sales data and <span class='nt-symbol'>MSFT<\/span> -1.5%. Software stocks in general were weak as the IGV Software <span class='nt-symbol'>ETF<\/span> fell a 5<sup>th<\/sup> straight day, worst stretch since November 2022&#8243;<\/span><\/p>\n<p
